Features of Management

1. Management is Pervasive

The term pervasive defined as universal. Hence, these states management is a pervasive process. The activities of management are common and take place in every organisation in the world.No matter what type of organisation it is, no matter where the organisation is located.

e.g An school located in somewhere in America is also doing activities of management the same as in your country. And many others are following the same.


2. Management is a continuous process

As I have stated in my first lien itself. Management never stops, it consists of a series of activities which repeat themselves. It includes planning, organising, directing, staffing and controlling. Managers simultaneously perform their functions. The task of manger consists of an ongoing series of functions.

3. Management is Multi-Dimensional

Management needs to be done very cautiously buy managers. As it is the backbone of an organisation.
Management has three key dimensions to be managed equally. i.e,

(a) Management of work  

Management of the work assigned to the sectors of the organization is essential for smooth regulation of a firm. NCERT quoted "This is done in terms of the problem to be solved, plans to be executed, budgets to be prepared, responsibilities to be assigned and authority to be delegated."

(b) Management of people

Human resource is the greatest asset to be managed. As a human is the one who accomplishes everything. Delegating, assigning, controlling of human resource is all management of peoples stands for.


(c) Management of operation

Now managing the work taking place is also required. every organization has its own operation for which the firm operates. Operations are soul reorganization hence, to be managed effectively.

4. Management is Goal Oriented process 

Management in an organisation works with a view to achieving the ultimate goal of the organisation. Altogether the team works towards the achievement of desired group goal. Managers makes strategies, plans and operate in order to achieve goals with utmost satisfaction keeping an eye on efficient and effective work.

5. Management is a Dynamic process

The term dynamic is used for adapting nature. The management of any organization must be adaptable in nature to adapt to the changes in the outside environment to make management effective and market-ready. 
NCERT quoted "An organisation interacts with external environment which consists of various social, economical and political factors.: And, flexibility makes them get them survival in the market.

6. Management is Intangible force

Intangible describes the unseen presence just like the feeling of love The thing we can't touch or see but can be felt. Management is an intangible force that cannot be seen but its presence can be felt and results could be analysed through output.
NCERT quoted "The effect of management noticed when an organization achieves its targeted goals according to plans, and employees are happy and satisfied without any chaos."
