Management is not a new term for you, but this time it is deep to understand. You must have heard about management before, yet commerce has a separate world for management.

We are here to clear the concept of management. Management at first describes itself, as the term defines" to Manage". To manage what? Manage anything a home, an office, a school or a multinational organisation and so on.

Concept of Management

Management is getting things done with the help of others.

Let's take an example your mom manages your home. She prepares food, does laundry, teaches you, greets guests, goes to the market to get things to regulate the house needs.

In the whole process, she sometimes takes the help of your dad, says you to help take hands of your other sibling. And does her work on time.

This is an example of perfect management.

Doing a series of continuous activities or functions to achieve a pre-set target while taking the help of others. 

Hence, take your home as the best example of management. And, gear up for the concept of management.

Management definition

It can be written as 

"Management is the creation of an internal environment in which individual working in a group with a dedicated work field, with effective and efficient mindest for the attainment of group goal."📈

"Management is an art of getting things done together with the view of achieving a common group or organizational goal."📈

"Management is defined as the process of planning, organising, actualising and controlling an organisations' operations to achieve coordination and accomplishing the organisational goals."📈

NCERT quoted "People in an organization perform diverse tasks but they all work towards the same goal. Management aims at guiding their efforts towards achieving a common objective. And for the achievement of a goal, the work should be done efficiently and with full effectiveness"

When analyzing the definition, it's every single word defines the essence of management. Management is a long term process. Moreover, understanding the concept of management could be easy if you just go through definition quite a few times.

Points of management definition

Management consist of a process you will learn further in your journey i.e, planning, organising, staffing, directing and controlling. ( you will meet them ahead in your curriculum )

( Effective: The term effective defines to finish the assigned work. Finishing up the tasks in business terms called as effective. But, just finishing tasks is not only the demand for management. The work must be equally efficient.

Efficient: Being efficient is to finish work correctly as given and with minimum cost. And the only efficient is not sufficient.)

effective and efficient are two sides of a coin they work together amazingly.

The ultimate output of a firm, institution or anything is the result of management. Holding management is the backbone of planning. Effective management has the potential to achieve the desired goal. Management has the power to get targets to achieve for real. 

Once in life until now, you must have organised something. A college fest, any event or even a house party.

What we begin with is to figure out who to invite, what about finances or funds, things to make available, scheduling for guests, peoples who will work with you to make this happen.

Just analyze any of that event you organized or you took charge of. The journey from the beginning of that event to make it reach to end is management.

Now, if we take it to a big picture incase of MNC's this process is never-ending. In cooperates, managements start with the company and ends when the firm gets dissolved.
